Overview
What Makes Six Senses Beach Special
Six Senses Beach - named after the luxury resort that occupies the hillside above it - is widely considered the most beautiful beach on Côn Đảo and one of the finest beaches in southern Vietnam. The beach is a 400-metre crescent of fine white sand at the base of a forested hillside, facing a sheltered bay of water that transitions from shallow turquoise near the shore to deep blue at the bay entrance. The Six Senses Con Dao resort sits in stilted villas above the beach on the forested slope - one of the most acclaimed resort properties in Southeast Asia - but the beach itself is public and accessible to all visitors. Coral heads begin within 50 metres of the shoreline, making it one of the few beaches in Vietnam where quality snorkeling is possible directly from the sand without a boat.

How to Get There
🚗 Getting There
Six Senses Beach is approximately 5km from Côn Đảo town, accessible by motorbike along the coastal road that runs south from town through the national park. The journey takes about 15 minutes. The road is paved, scenic, and passes through forested national park land. There is no public transport to the beach - motorbike rental in Côn Đảo town costs approximately 150,000–200,000 VND per day. The beach access point is just past the Six Senses resort entrance on the left.
What to Expect
👀 On the Ground
The beach is undeveloped - no sunbeds, no umbrellas, no vendors. The sand is fine and white, the water clear with good visibility in dry season, and the forested hillside provides natural shade in the morning and late afternoon. The bay is sheltered enough for calm swimming for most of dry season. Snorkeling off the northern end of the beach, where a rocky reef begins, gives access to coral and fish without requiring a boat. The surrounding area is national park - the forest behind the beach has walking paths and the sounds of birds and insects are constant.
Travel Tips
🧳 Tips
Six Senses Beach is the beach that justifies Côn Đảo's reputation as Vietnam's most pristine island destination - the combination of clean water, intact coral, empty sand, and forested backdrop is genuinely rare and getting rarer in Southeast Asia. The absence of facilities is part of what makes it exceptional - bring a picnic, snorkel gear, and nothing else. For travellers staying at budget or mid-range accommodation in Côn Đảo town, renting a motorbike and spending a morning at Six Senses Beach is the most straightforward luxury available on the island.
