Bình Định Province

Bình Định is the beating heart of ancient Champa civilization on Vietnam's central coast. Cham towers rise dramatically from rice paddies and hilltops, while long empty beaches stretch between rocky headlands. The province is also the birthplace of Tây Sơn martial arts and the legendary Quang Trung emperor. For solo travelers, Bình Định offers a compelling mix of history, surf beaches, and seafood without the backpacker infrastructure of nearby Đà Nẵng.
